Our Freedom

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

These are the words engraved at the base of lady liberty. She is truly an awe inspiring lady. It was cloudy when I went, so I was a little disapointed in the way the picture came out, but just being there seeing it in person was a real blessing.

Church in the wild

This picture was taken in Cades Cove in the smoky mountains national forest. The church has been there for over 100 years. Cades Cove was originally a community that housed a few families before the park acquired them. Now Cades Cove is a park in its own right, and features a loop trail that can be driven, walked, or bike rode.

I took this in black and white to emphasize the age and regality of the church.

Greetings

Welcome to my newest blog. This one will focus exclusively on photos and photography. See my blog link on the side for some of my other blogs.

I use a Canon 20D for most of my work, and spend most of my time in the mountains, on the trails, or traveling to take the pictures.

Enjoy looking around, feel free to contact me and ask me any questions or comments.
